TRI-SPICE TEA

This tea is a quick little wonder -brew for an upset digestion of a Vata or Kapha nature. Whether you are experiencing bloating, colic, gas, heaviness, nausea or cramps to a mild or moderate level, this simple 10 minute remedy will soothe and restore digestive balance.



TRI-SPICE LESSONS THE SYMPTOMS OF


  • Over-eating,

  • Intake of poor food combinations,

  • Morning sickness,

  • Excessive intake of cold, raw foods and,

  • Recovery from illness that has disturbed the gut flora (i.e. gastro or food poisoning).



WHAT YOU WILL NEED


1 serve


  • 2 cups of filtered water

  • 4 cardamom pods (green or black)

  • 1 tsp of fennel seeds

  • 1 whole clove


Optional - 1 teaspoon of jaggery (unrefined cane sugar)



METHOD


  1. In a small saucepan, combine all ingredients and bring to a boil for approximately 5 minutes.

  2. Strain and serve immediately.
