WHAT YOU WILL NEED
UTENSILS
A clean cotton cloth or flannel
Ear dropper or pipette
Small bowl for the tonic
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 tbsp sesame oil
1 clove of garlic, peeled and lightly bruised.
METHOD
In a small saucepan, put in the oil and garlic glove.
Warm gently for 5 minutes on a low heat.
Remove from the heat and let the tonic sit, covered for approximately 5 minutes. You can let the tonic sit for longer until the oil has cooled to an optimum temperature to be put in the ear. The temperature of comfort will vary amongst body types, so ensure to check before administering
Remove the garlic clove and pour the warm tonic into a small bowl.
PROCEDURE
Before commencing the treatment, try to have a few moments of stillness or meditation to prepare.
Have the small bowl with oil, cotton cloth and the pipette within comfortable reach if you are applying this to yourself.
Lie down on your side, with a covered pillow and comfortable surface (in case of mild oil spill) in the foetal position. One knee can come over the other if this is more comfortable.
Fill the pipette with the tonic and apply 10 drops into the ear facing up. Apply only 5 drops to children (ages 5-15 years).
Allow some time for the oil to enter the ear channel and then gently tug the ear lobe downwards to move the oil further along.
Rest for 5 minutes, close your eyes and take deep, relaxed breaths.
Cover the ear with the cotton cloth and gently turn to the other side, resuming the same position.
Complete the above process to the other ear.
Once completed, gently roll over to the original side to allow any excess oil to drain from the second ear. Rest for a few moments.
Slowly come into a resting position on your back, close your eyes and relax for a few moments before rising.
Avoid cold weather, wind, rain and over-stimulation of the senses (i.e. screen time) for a few hours after the treatment.
Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns or questions.
