ALOE VERA

Updated: Jan 2, 2023

Can I tell you a little bit about the amazing little plant Aloe Vera? ⁣

I always walk past the Aloe Vera gels in various combinations at the pharmacy and have a little smile - if only people knew just how easy this plant was to grow, and how potent the gel is straight from plant to skin! Most of us associate Aloe Vera gel as a beautiful healer and quick relief for sunburn, boils and blisters but it provides so much more if consumed medicinally as the gel or gel juice. ⁣

Aloe Vera is a tri-doshic healer that has powerful effect on multiple body systems. It can relieve constipation and bloating, treat fever, heal disorders of the liver and spleen, treat bleeding disorders such as excessive and painful menstruation, improves vision, assists in the speedy recovery of respiratory disorders and infections as well as being a potent anti-toxic and aphrodisiac. ⁣

For external applications, you can apply the aloe gel to skin, which is soothing for your standard burns and blisters, but also very healing and brings relief to other skin conditions like dermatitis and psoriasis. Please click here for a demonstration on how to simply extract Aloe Vera gel from the plant. For internal conditions as mentioned above, but also for a daily cleanse of the liver and digestive tract, some Aloe Vera juice is highly recommended and please click here for the recipe. I would recommend seeking the guidance of your Ayurvedic physician for management of long term symptoms and best ways to use Aloe Vera for your health needs. Please don't hesitate to be in touch via our "To Connect" page here with any questions or concerns you may have.

Gorgeous little prickly gem, get gardening and pop some in the ground! ⁣
